Functional Responsibilities
The Cybersecurity engineer supports security of developments from concept to deployment, and possess certifications in any of the following:

  • Security+

  • CySA+

  • Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH)

  • Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC)

  • Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA)

  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)

Description of Duties
Support the AEGIS Technical Representative (TECHREP) at the product level in various technical aspects involving the integration of the AEGIS Weapon System with Ballistic Missile Defense functionality in an AEGIS Combat System environment to include:

  • Developing product security CONOPS and system security plans, identifying roles and responsibilities across a multi-discipline project team for implementing product security for embedded control systems.

  • Decomposing customer product security requirements.

  • Participate in threat/vulnerability assessments applying designated guidelines to identify required security measures to mitigate the security risks.

  • Developing cybersecurity test plans and procedures to verify effectiveness of implemented features.

  • Support cyber security audit and test events to support certification/accreditation milestones.

  • Conduct specification requirement reviews and perform test data analysis; analyze and document observed test anomalies and deficiencies; track problem resolutions; and support meetings and report out criteria

  • You must hold a valid driver’s license

  • You must own a reliable motor vehicle

Minimum Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Cybersecurity with appropriate certification

  • Experience with the US Navy AEGIS Combat System is a plus

  • Active duty US Navy AEGIS Weapon System Cybersecurity experience may substitute for degree

Other required skills/experience:

  • Your resume/cv accepted by our customer

  • Proficient in MS Office Word, Outlook, Excel, Access, and Power Point

  • Strong attention to detail with organizational and problem solving skills

  • Ability to interface constructively with US Government and Industry teammates

  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills

  • Flexible to support short notice testing and / or tasking

  • Available to support second and third shift when required

  • Ability to work independently and pro-actively in providing high quality services

 Required Skills and Certifications:

  • DoD Secret Clearance or ability to obtain an Interim Secret Clearance within 90 days of signing the contingent hire offer letter

  • As a condition of continued employment, you must maintain an active security clearance
